wow

Thu Nov 6, 2008, 1:54 PM
I am so freaking bad at updating this thing. Huh.

Anyway, this is November, which of course means NaNoWriMo is upon me again.

I was really worried about being able to juggle novel-writing while getting through my first year of college, but this year has definitely been my most productive one since I started the WriMo tradition in...2005...

If anyone is at all interested, just ask and I'll put up some novel snippets or maybe the whole thing, since I'm really loving this one.

Also, I'm gonna try to get into drawing again next month, as a sort of self-induced, visual art form of NaNoWriMo. I'll see if I can't get at a scanner.

Lastly, Obama won! If you didn't want him to win, then my condolences go out to you, but I couldn't be happier with the outcome.

  • Mood: Euphoric
  • Listening to: God Knows and Any Way You Want It
  • Reading: Eat, Pray, Love
  • Watching: Soul Eater
  • Playing: Radiata Stories and Phoenix Wright 3 again
  • Eating: lots of candy bars, actually...
  • Drinking: lots of bottled water, mountain dew, and cheerwine

I see you're having better luck than I am at NaNo-ing. November is when semester one term projects are all usually assigned. Last year I was only able to get 12,000 words in before getting swamped, but now I couldn't even get that chance. ... Plus my USB drive went missing again.

The story was only half-ready anyway. It was made up of two parts that conjoin and flow together, but I had been focusing all my time on part A I wouldn't know what to do about part B. *sigh*

Aw....that's too bad...

I think I just got really lucky that this story built itself up as quickly as it did (it only completely came to me around mid-October or so) and that I've not been getting too much homework (amazingly).

I've managed to build up almost 17K already, which came as a huge surprise for me. The reason is definitely that I love these new characters so much, though. I've been writing from the first instant I can up until 1 in the morning or so just to find out what happens next.
