Not a meme yet and unlikely to become one, but I thought I'd post it up and see if anyone wants to try it out. Dunno how those things are started anyway.

So a friend showed me a 4chan thread (I don't actually go on that site at all, but once in a while friends will send me threads and I'll read them) in which characters were placed into one of nine different categories of where they lean. I thought I might as well try to do this with my own characters, but I really had no one to show it to at the time, so may as well show it to a lot of people, right?

Rules or some such (in case you want to try it out for yourself):

There are nine categories: Lawful Good, Neutral Good, Chaotic Good, Lawful Neutral, Neutral, Chaotic Neutral, Lawful Evil, Neutral Evil, Chaotic Evil. You can get together all of your characters or all from one universe, or whatever it is you want to do, and try to get one in each category, with either a quote or description that sorta explains why they belong there.

I hope you understand what each category name means, so I'll just continue with mine and you can figure it out from there if you don't get it right now.

(Also, this'll probably have DCtM spoilers if you are one of the few reading that and you care about that sorta thing)


Lawful Good: Keve

Don't really have a quote for this one. Keve is fighting for a reason and if he thought there was any doubt as to whether or not he was on the morally correct side of the matter then he'd stop and reconsider what he should do until he can come to a clean-cut solution.

Neutral Good: Rafonne

“Why did he want to make us not happy?”

“Because the only way he'd be happy is if he made lots of people not happy.”

“But...but that wouldn't balance right. That would mean that he'd be happy but lots of others would not.”

Chaotic Good: Graye

“How do I know that you haven't altered my memories any more than that?”

“Because I don't know what alterations could make your consciousness change completely and no longer let me stay here. I don't want to risk that. You know that's the real reason, because it has nothing to do with ethics or the preservation of your being, but now you also know that I really haven't changed anything about you.”

Lawful Neutral: Cinch (bit of a stretch)

Cinch is the most unbiased character in the book, since she is the only human and has not known any of the characters long enough to have formed any lasting opinion on any of the groups. She is on Keve's side because he is lawful good and was able to convince her that his side was the lawful one. However, she is just as capable of going to the opposing side if they have someone more convincing or just as important a reason to be doing what they are doing.

Neutral: Kurt (also a stretch)

“I'm guessing this has something to do with the Thieves from Death?”

No wonder you're a Private Eye, your powers of deduction are legendary

“I didn't realize Death was so rude,”

You are a bit fresh, considering who you are talking to.

“I know you need me, so I know you won't kill me.”

How do you know I won't just kill you when I'm finished with you?

“That's how I'll know if you are really all that rude a being, I suppose. Well, the question of your manners aside, what is it that you came here to tell me?”

Chaotic Neutral: Pynde

"I'll give you a fifteen second head start. Run away, find a weapon, I don't care how you use it. Just be aware that after 15 seconds I'm coming for you. And I don't hold back."

Lawful Evil: Grene

“I have only one choice right now, and that is to play your villain until the bitter end. No matter who wins this, I will be the biggest loser, but I will fight for my choice even if no one else does. There's nothing that you or anyone else can do to help me.”

Neutral Evil: Fayrasta

"President Fayrasta has already given the Life Enders express permission to gather data in all ways possible that do not include death of the subject in order to find a way for all the Storks to leave this existence as one. This includes testing and surveillance of any sentient being who may hold clues to unlocking this answer using any known technology, regardless of source."

Chaotic Evil: Mongule

“So what's your plan?”

“I'll find their location.”

“And then?”

“And then I will kill some of the folks around them.”

“And then?”

“And then...I'll kill them. I may try to kill a few million again. Ye'll have to wait and see.”

I thought about doing this with Noname characters too, but decided it's a bit late to start on that tonight. I may do it sometime soon, though.
